Coleman PRCA Rodeo Standings After Thursday Night

The first night of the 87th Coleman PRCA Rodeo is in the books.  Here are the current standings shown below for each event courtesy of Colemantoday.com.

Bareback riding leaders: 1. Jacob Lees, 83 points on TNT Pro Rodeo’s Revolver; 2. Kyle Bloomquist, 82.5; 3. Wacey Schalla, 76; 4. Luke Thrash, 74; 5. Stetson Bierman, 72; no other qualified rides.

Steer wrestling leaders: 1. Jay Williamson, 4.1 seconds; 2. Paul Melvin, 4.7; 3. (tie) Darcy Kersh and Don Payne, 4.8 each; 5. (tie) Ty Bauerle and Trace Harris, 4.9 each.

Team roping leaders: 1. Cyle Denison/Tanner Braden, 4.8 seconds; 4. Cory Kidd V/Dustin Davis, 5.7; 5. Wyatt Imus/Tyler McKnight, 7.1; 6. Luke Brown/Travis Graves, 9.9.

Saddle bronc riding leaders: 1. Sage Newman, 84 points on TNT Pro Rodeo’s Taxi; 2. Sam Martin, 82.5; 3. Sterling Crawley, 78; 4. (tie) Riggin Smith and Blake Starrett, 76 each; 6. Ean Price, 73.

Tie-down roping leaders: 1. Roan Hudson, 9.1 seconds; 2. Marcos Costa, 9.7; 3. Blane Cox, 10.3; 4. Cash Fretwell, 11.0; 5. Tyson Arledge, 11.8; 6. Cash Fuesz, 12.2.

Barrel racing leaders: 1. Chloe Gray, 17.31 seconds; 2. Taylor Carver, 17.54; 3. Sadie Wolaver-Troyer, 17.62; 4. Kelly Bruner, 17.69; 5. Ashley Parks, 17.91; 6. Chelsea Moore, 18.03.

Breakaway roping leaders: 1. Josie Conner, 2.5 seconds; 2. (tie) Nicole Baggarley and Laramie Johnson, 2.6 each; 4. (tie) MaryBeth Beam, Jordan Jo Hollabaugh and Brooke Ladner, 2.7 each.

Steer roping: First round: 1. J7 Bland, 13.2 seconds, $1,369; 2. Shad Mayfield, 13.3, $1,133; 3. Cole Patterson, 13.4, $897; 4. Trey Wallace, 14.9, $661; 5. Tony Reina, 15.1, $425; 6. Martin Poindexter, 15.2, $236. Second round: 1. Seth Schafer, 11.7 seconds, $1,369; 2. Will Eddleman, 11.9, $1,133; 3. Quay Howard, 12.0, $897; 4. (tie) Trenton Johnson and Dalton Walker, 12.5, $543 each; 6. Cole Patterson, 13.4, $236. Third round: 1. Will Eddleman, 10.8 seconds, $1,369; 2. Billy Good, 11.7, $1,133; 3. (tie) Quay Howard, Trent Sorey and Slade Wood, 11.8, $661 each; 6. Seth Schafer, 11.9, $236. Average: 1. Cole Patterson, 39.5 seconds on three head, $2,054; 2. Slade Wood, 45.2, $1,700; 3. Bull riding leaders: 1. Hayden Harris, 87 points on Smith Pro Rodeos’ Redneck Romeo; 2. (tie) Gavin Michel and Wacey Schalla, 84.5 each; 4. Jeff Askey, 79; no other qualified rides.

Here is the entertainment schedule for the rest of the rodeo:

  • Friday, June 7:  Braxton Keith and Cole Barnhill – $25
    • (Barnhill performs at 9:45pm, Keith performs at 11:00pm)

    Saturday, June 8: Aaron Watson and Case Hardin – $25

    • (Hardin performs at 9:45pm, Watson at 11:00pm)

    COOLER PASSES (No Glass Containers Allowed)

    • Cooler Pass Rodeo: $5 (available online or at the gate)
    • Cooler Pass Thursday Night Dance: $10 (available online or at the gate)
    • Cooler Pass Friday/Saturday Night Concerts: $20 (available online or at the gate)

    Note: You will need one Cooler Pass per event. If you are going to multiple concerts, you will need multiple Concert Cooler Passes and you will need one pass per cooler. If you will be attending the rodeo on multiple nights, you will need a Rodeo Cooler Pass for each night and you will need one pass per cooler.

    ALL the rodeo action is being broadcast live on KOXE FM 101.3.   Download the mobile app or go to koxe.com to listen live anywhere in the world.  Broadcaster Scott Anderson will team up with former barrel racer Coleen McCleary of May, Texas, PRCA calf roper Reed Zapalac, 6 times NFR calf roper Mike McLaughlin,  8 time NFR steer wrestler Matt Reeves & Rodeo Champion John Guest to bring you all the action.
