Bettie Slaughter, 74, of Brownwood passed away May 27, 2024.

She was born to Cecil Keith Sr. and Georgia Wolf in Brady Texas. Bettie was a lifetime resident of Brownwood where her niece Shelly took care of most of her life after the passing of her husband, Edwin Slaughter.

Bettie is survived by her son, Kenny Slaughter; her two sisters, Wanda Spaulding and Kathy O’Neal; her two grandchildren, Karston Slaughter and Kentley Glasscock; a niece, Shelly Merchent and husband Ronnie, along with other nieces and nephews.

Bettie is preceded by her parents, Cecil and Georgia Keith of San Angelo, husband Edwin Slaughter, and brother, Cecil Keith Jr.

The family will hold a memorial service to honor Bettie’s life at a later date.
