The Center for Life Resources is hosting a Children Services Summit from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Brownwood.

According to the Center for Life Resources, the event is designed bring awareness to the safety and well-being of our youth and other concerns in today’s society. With advancements in technology and the prevalence of social media, young people are facing new challenges and pressures that can have a significant impact on their mental health.

This event is open to parents, educators, community members, and anyone interested in learning more about how to support our young people in navigating the challenges they face.

May is also Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and understanding about mental health issues and promoting resources for those in need. In recognition of this important initiative, the Center for Life Resources is partnering with the Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood ISD, and our local Texas Department of Family and Protective Services office to increase awareness regarding youth safety in today’s culture, and its impact on their mental health and overall well-being.
