The Brown County Retired School Employees formerly known as Brown County Retired Teachers Association proudly presents the Mary Michaels Memorial Scholarship to Bangs resident Emalee Parrott, daughter of Courtney and Gregory Parrott.

Emalee will be studying Family Consumer Science Education at Texas Tech in the fall. During her high school career she has been involved in 4-H, Family Career Community Leaders of America, Band, Tennis, UIL, all while being in all honors and dual credit classes.

She now has graduated with two associate degrees from Ranger College before graduating from high school. She feels very blessed to receive this $1,000 scholarship to help her pay for her college education. The BCRSE members are honored to help her in this endeavor.
