The Kiwanis Club of Brownwood recently announced the following information on its Facebook page:
The Kiwanis Club of Brownwood will host the 9th Annual Kid Fish event, this year at Early’s Town Center for the first time.
Scheduled for 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, this is an amazing event that gives children the chance to start a life long love for fishing and being outdoors. This event is open to youth 4-year-olds thru 16. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 weigh-ins in 4 age ranges.
There is no fee to register. The FIRST 150 register will receive free rod and reel and bait. These 150 will also receive a hot dog and chips. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will be there with educational activities for the children to participate in.
