A memorial service for Ressie H. Blair, age 79, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2024, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Ressie passed from this life on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Ressie Webb was born on May 30, 1944, in Eads, Tennessee to Eddie Lee and Clara Bell Webb.  She was raised in Memphis and graduated from Memphis High School. Ressie married Ronald Blair on June 19, 1981, in Brownwood.  She worked for many years as an LVN.

Ressie was a member of New Testament Holiness Church in Bangs.  She enjoyed card games (Solitaire and Spades) drawing, watching her San Francisco 49’s football team and westerns on TV. She was the jokester of the family.  Ressie was a warrior of trial and a soldier of tribulation.  For her to live eight score, she faced all odds against her.  From her losing her husband, to defeating cancer and a stroke. She found a sense of humor to make her bad days a smile throughout.

Ressie is survived by her mother, Clara Webb; her children, Kevin Webb (Rae-Jean July-Webb), Thomas Heffner, Jr., Kellee Heffner, and Ronda Blair; grandchildren, Kevin Xavier Webb, Keaire Webb, T. J. Heffner, III, and Raven Webb; her siblings, Carl Webb, Sheila Washington (Luriel Washington), Sherwood Webb, and Nicolas Webb, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Blair, father, Eddie Lee Webb, Sr., sisters, Marilyn Webb, Rosetta Webb, and Claudia Pearson, brothers, Eddie Webb, Jr. and Daryl Webb, and a granddaughter, Donetta July.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
