Central Texas Farm Credit (CTFC) awarded $2,000 scholarships to five high school seniors. The 2024 scholarship recipients include Cecelia Fritze, Colton Hopkins, Chloe Jones, Sterling Richmond, and Kayton Shahan. 

The CTFC scholarship committee selects recipients based on honors, awards, community service, work experience, extracurricular activities, and an essay. CTFC will donate $500 to the FFA chapter or 4-H organization of each scholarship recipient’s choice.

“We look forward to awarding these scholarships each year,” Zach May, CTFC chief executive officer said. “It’s inspiring to see so many talented and motivated young people eager to pursue their education and give back to our rural communities. Supporting them through our scholarship program is one way we hope to cultivate these future leaders.”

Fritze resides in Miles, and a senior at Miles High School. She plans to attend Texas State University.

Hopkins resides in Haskell, and a senior at Haskell High School. He plans to attend Texas Tech University.

Jones resides in San Angelo, and a senior at Wall High School. She plans to attend Texas A&M University.

Richmond resides in De Leon, and a senior at Stephenville High School. He plans to attend Texas A&M University.

Shahan resides in Munday, and a senior at Munday High School. He plans to attend Midwestern State University.
