The Early Police Department posted the following information on Facebook Monday morning:

Early Police and Fire along with Lifeguard EMS responded to a three-vehicle accident at approximately 7:45 a.m. this morning. A gray 4 door car failed to stop at red right striking a dually from behind which then struck a SUV. The dually and SUV were stopped at a red light. All vehicles were traveling east. The fire department extinguished a fire under the hood of the gray car and Lifeguard EMS transported two to the Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood emergency room. Early Blvd. was closed for approximately 45 minutes and traffic was re-routed.
