Marie Jernigan passed away on March 26, 2024, at her home in Brownwood, Texas. She was born and raised in Haskell, Texas on September 27,1941 to Ocie and Gladys Carruth.

Marie’s finest traits were loving the Lord, her family and friends unconditionally. She was kind, caring, compassionate, honest, and hard working. She had the best sense of humor and was downright sassy at times. (All of which she instilled in her three girls.) Marie enjoyed traveling to visit her nieces and nephews in Oklahoma and Haskell, Texas.

She is survived by daughter Kim Eaton and husband Troy, daughters Carrey Timms, and Charlotte Harper all of Brownwood. Fourteen Grandchildren and numerous Great- grandchildren. Two sisters Barbara McFadden and husband Troy of Elmore City, Oklahoma, and Sue Wright and husband Roy of Haskell, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ocie and Gladys Carruth, sister Bonnie, daughter Laura Wright, grandchildren, Baby Cornelious, Michael Cornelious, and Son-in-law Randle Harper.

Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2024, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Davis -Morris Funeral Home. Service will be on April 1, 2024 in Haskell, Texas, at Eastside Baptist Church, with visitation from 10:00AM to12:00PM, lunch from 12:00PM to 2:00PM, and Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with interment following at Willow Cemetery, Haskell, Texas,
