Lady Lions win Stephenville Relays, Lions place fourth in final district tune-up

Braycee Lee in the girls 400 meters, Ike Hall in both the boys long jump and triple jump, Sam Kallman in the boys discus, and Lyndi Biasiolli in the girls 3200 meters all won their events in Stephenville Thursday.

STEPHENVILLE – The Brownwood Lady Lions finished first in the final team standings, and the Brownwood Lions came in fourth, at the Stephenville Optimist Relays Thursday, the final tune-up prior to next week’s District 6-4A meet.

The Lady Lions generated 119 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Abilene Cooper with 98.3 points.

The Lions produced 83 points, which left them behind Granbury (131), Stephenville (111), and Breckenridge (87).

Varsity events are as follows:

Brownwood Lady Lions

1st place

  • Braycee Lee (1:00.9) in the 400 meters
  • Lyndi Biasiolli (12:38.11) in the 3200 meters
  • 4×200 relay (1:45.39)

2nd place

  • Kaya Phillips (26.31) in the 200 meters
  • Sidney Windham (2:22.08) in the 800 meters
  • Sidney Windham (5:25.51) in the 1600 meters
  • Talia Clifton (16.6) in the 100-meter hurdles
  • 4×400 relay (4:04.71)

3rd place

  • Talia Clifton (50.75) in the 300-meter hurdles
  • Aubrie Felux (4-10) in the high jump
  • Jaslin Jones (106-11) in the discus

4th place

  • Icess Hall (33-4.25) in the triple jump

5th place

  • Kate Tindol (26.71) in the 200 meters
  • Talia Craff (13:47.51) in the 3200 meters
  • 4×100 relay (51.85)

6th place

  • Haylee Adkins (13:53.32)

4th place

  • 4×400 relay (3:35.22)
  • Wyatt Wolf (11-6) in the pole vault

5th place

  • Caven Webster (11.28) in the 100 meters

6th place

  • Hayden Noe (16.13) in the 110-meter hurdles

The JV Lady Lions also won their division with 199 points, while the JV Lions placed fourth with 83 points.

The District 6-4A meet will take place Monday, April 1 and Thursday, April 4 in Mineral Wells.

Action begins at 10 a.m. Monday with the varsity boys long jump and varsity girls triple jump. The 3200-meter run begins at 11 a.m., while at 11:30 a.m. the varsity girls long jump and varsity boys triple jump take place. Running prelims, which begin at 3:30 p.m. Monday, include the 100-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, 100 meters, 400 meters, 300-meter hurdles, and the 200 meters.

On Thursday, the action starts at 11 a.m. with the varsity boys discus, varsity girls shot put, and the high jump for both varsity girls and varsity boys followed at 1 p.m. by the varsity girls discus and varsity boys shot put.

Running finals start at 4 p.m. with the 4×100 relay followed by the 800 meters, 110/110-meter hurdles, 100 meters, 4×200 relay, 400 meters, 300-meter hurdles, 200 meters, 1600 meters and the 4×400 relay.
