Bobby Meredith Howard, age 75, passed away on March 22, 2024.  He was born in Coleman, Texas, on September 22, 1948, to John Meredith and Geneva Francis (Powell) Howard.  He graduated from Coleman High School in 1967.  He has been a resident of Repton, Alabama for the last 25 years.  He worked in oil-field related industries most of his life.  However, his heart was always in farming, ranching, and rodeo, riding his last bull at age 54.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Howard of Repton, Alabama; one brother, Jerry Howard of Frankston, Texas; one sister, Jana (Gary) Kinsey of Lockhart, Texas; three daughters, Stefani (Dean) Kelly of Midland, Texas, Hali (Jeff) Bauman of Rockwall, Texas, and Deidre (Ben) Johnson of Frisco City, Alabama; ten grandchildren and multiple bonus grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The family will host a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. Family and friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Stacy Cemetery Pavilion with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Stacy Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Howard family by signing the guestbook on Bobby’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Howard family.
