Helen Agnes Whicker

Helen Agnes Whicker, known as Agnes by those who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully March 22, 2024, in Brownwood, TX.

Agnes was born April 30, 1940, on a farm in Ponoka Alberta. She worked as an RN for many years in California before retiring to Brownwood, Texas.

Agnes will always be remembered for her faith and love of God. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Rachel Dick, and her sister Mary Dick.

Agnes is survived by her daughters, Noelle Acord of Brownwood, Corrina Barbarite of Clovis, California, her son Lindsey Whicker of Fresno, California. Additionally, her Grandchildren David Cervantez and Vanessa Lightfoot of Walla Walla, Washington, Danielle Carnes, and Casey Carnes of Brownwood and Katelyn Barbarite of Clovis, California. Her Sisters Velma Dick of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, Sheila Courage of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. Her Brothers, Vern Dick of Ponoka, Alberta, Canada and Cam Dick of Camrose, Alberta Canada. As well as her Great-Grandchildren, Emily Carnes, Caden Carnes, Cayleigh Carnes, Adaline Cervantez, Rosalie Cervantez.

Services will be March 27, 2024, at 10am at Brownwood Community Church with a Private Burial to follow at Bangs Cemetery. There will be no Visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Brownwood Community Church, which she dearly loved.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
