Brownwood ISD issued the following press release Monday morning:

This month’s spotlight teacher is Kala Jackson. Ms. Jackson is a first grade teacher at East Elementary. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University San Marcos and she is a state-certified teacher (Generalist & ESL EC-4). This is her second year with Brownwood ISD.

Kala is a wonderful blessing and asset to the East Elementary family. She is a true leader and mentor with a wealth of knowledge to share. It is a delight to walk into her classroom to see her students excited and engaged in hands-on activities for math and science. You will often see her working late hours preparing enriching activities for her students. She is willing to do whatever it takes for her students to succeed.

Brownwood ISD is thankful to have teachers like Ms. Jackson who go above and beyond in their commitment and determination towards student success.

Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Adealisa Geis! Ms. Geis is the receptionist at Brownwood High School (BHS). She is a BHS graduate and holds a degree in Accounting from Howard Payne University. This is her second year with Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Geis always has a smile on her face and is eager to help students, parents, and staff. She is kind and thoughtful and is always thinking about others. BHS is blessed to have her be the face of the front office.

We are proud to have staff like Ms. Geis who go the extra mile to create a welcoming and supportive front office experience for visitors, staff, and students.
