WACO – The Brownwood High tennis team competed at the Waco High Invitational Friday, bringing home a consolation championship and a bronze medal.
Caleb Dietlin and Blake Hutchins captured the consolation title in boys doubles, while River Prado finished third in boys A singles.

Boys A Singles
- River Prado – defeat Connor Neighbors of Richardson Berkner (6-0, 6-2); lost to Arjun Goprieddy of Prosper Rock Hill(6-2, 6-0); defeated Ikem Eneli of Harker Heights (4-6, 6-0, 11-9) for third place
Boys B Singles
- Eric Smith – lost to Noah Jacob of Prosper Rock Hill (5-3, 1-4, 1-0 [7]); defeated Jack Snider of Waco High (4-0, 4-1); lost to Josh Meller of Taylor (4-1, 0-4, 1-0 [6])
Girls Singles
- Ashlyn Bundick – defeated Aiyhana Cleto of Killeen (6-1, 6-0); defeated Abby Aplin of Taylor (6-0, 2-6, 1-0 [2]); lost to Sahana Prakash of Prosper Rock Hill (6-3, 6-1).
Mixed Doubles
- Trine Baugh and Ihana Figueroa – lost to Thirupathy and Nalin of Prosper Rock Hill (6-2, 6-0); defeated Barnes and Arrendondo of Richardson Berkner (6-2, 6-2); lost to Nadaf and Neumann of Prosper Rock Hill (6-1, 6-2).
- Aiden Oplotnik and Amy Deechaulene – lost of Fenneman and Zaldi of Prosper Rock Hill (6-1, 6-2); lost to Talavera and Fuentes of Taylor (3-5, 4-0, 1-0 [5])

Girls Doubles
- Emma Delgado and Raylei Hickey – defeated Asare and Viveros of Killeen (6-0, 6-0); lost to Duong and Rajure of Prosper Rock Hill (5-3, 4-2); defeated Stelluti and Reese of Leander Glenn (4-2, 4-5[6], 1-0 [8])
- Anna Daniel and Avery Mair – lost to Goodsuhn and Cunningham from Waco High (6-4, 6-3); defeated Han and Adejumo from Richardson Berkner (1-4, 4-1, 1-0 [4]); defeated Pope and Pangelinan of Killeen (5-3, 4-1); lost to McCallie and McCallie of Waco High (4-2, 4-1) in consolation final.
The Brownwood High tennis team will be back in action Thursday as they host the Brownwood Invitational.
