On Tuesday, the American Southwest Conference announced its Softball Players of the Week, and Howard Payne junior center fielder Elise Munoz was selected as the Hitter of the Week.

Howard Payne junior center fielder Elise Munoz (Tucson, Arizona) batted .467 on 7-of-15 at the dish to help lead the Lady Jackets to a 5-1 record this past week. Munoz stole six bases on six attempts throughout the week and only struck out once on 15 at-bats. She went 3-of-4 with one RBI and scored one run in a 4-2 win over Dallas.
