The Brown County Fair Association issued the following information Monday:

It’s time again to get your slot in the Brown County Fair Association’s 3rd Annual Ranch Rodeo. This year, the Ranch Rodeo will be held April 19-20. Due to extreme interest in the Ranch Rodeo last year, we have expanded to two qualifier events. The first one is on Friday, April 19 starting at 6 p.m. with 15 slots and the second qualified event is on Saturday, April 20 starting at 9 a.m. with 15 slots. The final will be on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. The top five teams from each qualifier will advance to the finals.

The event will take place the Earl Q. Wilson Arena at the Brown County Fairgrounds and tickets are $10 for adults, and free admission for kids under 12. To attend all three events, a weekend pass is available for $25 for adults.

Events include Ranch Bronco Riding, Wild Cow Milking, Trailer Loading, Stray Gathering, Doctoring, and Sorting.

The entry fee is $1,000 per team. There is a 60 percent payback – 1st place is 30 percent plus buckles; 2nd place is 20 percent; and 3rd place is 10 percent.

To retain your slot in the qualifiers you must have your roster completed, returned to the Rodeo Committee, and your fees paid. This will ensure you a slot on one of the qualifiers. Qualifier slots will be filled first as received with both the team roster and fees paid and in the hands of the committee. Please make sure your entry forms are legible and completed.

If your business is interested in becoming a sponsor of this year’s Ranch Rodeo, please contact Jimmy Trowbridge at 325-998-3219 for the different level of sponsorships.

Entry forms can be sent to:
