No. 7 Huckabay ends Zephyr’s playoff run, 61-34

DUBLIN – The District 18-A champion and bi-district champion Zephyr Bulldogs saw their season come to an end in the second round of the playoffs with a 61-34 loss to No. 7 Huckabay here Thursday night.

Zephyr finished the season with a 26-8 overall record, including a 12-0 district mark.

The Friday slate of local basketball playoff games is as follows:

GIRLS REGION IV-2A TOURNAMENT

#19 San Saba (31-5) vs. #6 Shiner (32-2), 6 p.m.

#8 Goldthwaite (32-3) vs. Mumford (22-7), 8 p.m.

Both games at Hays Consolidated High School

BOYS AREA ROUND

Blanket vs. Morgan, 6:30 p.m at Dublin

Richland Springs vs. Lingleville, 6:30 p.m. at Brownwood High

Goldthwaite vs. Skidmore-Tynan, 5:30 p.m. at Kyle’s Lehman High School

Sidney vs. Gordon, 6 p.m. at Comanche

Cross Plains vs. Knox City, 7 p.m. at McMurry University in Abilene
