The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of February 22:

LAKE BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 54 degrees; 8.79 feet below pool. Black bass to 8.80 pounds are good on Hag’s Bait jigs, jerk baits and Alabama rigs in 6-12 feet of water. Staging up to a pre-spawn on the secondary points and mouth of cove pockets. Crappie are fair at the Wild Duck and brush piles on minnows in 12-15 feet of water. White bass are good on cranks and Alabama rigs. Catfish are slow at baited holes.

LAKE CISCO

GOOD. Water stained; 60 degrees; 11.49 feet below pool. Full moon will help the night bite. The lake is still murky but clearing after turnover. Channel catfish are good in 8 feet of water on liver, shad and goldfish. Carp are biting with catches up to 8 pounds. Crappie are good in 12 feet of water with live minnows. Expect the crappie bite to improve over the next few weeks with the spawn around the corner. No reports of largemouth bass, but largemouth bass are chasing baitfish. Report by Lake Cisco Rentals.

LAKE COLEMAN

SLOW. Water stained; 55 degrees; 9.11 feet below pool. Few reports, but typically crappie can be caught in the brush piles under docks.

LAKE O.H. IVIE

FAIR. Water stained; 57 degrees; 30.77 feet below pool. White bass are slow. Crappie, fair live bait or jigs. Largemouth are slow. As the lake level drops, be cautious of the trees. Report by Concho Park Marina.

LAKE PROCTOR

GOOD. Water normal stain; 50 degrees; 12.81 feet below pool. Full moon should push fish shallow this weekend. Bank anglers are reporting a good bite for crappie and catfish. Ramps are closed. It is possible to launch a boat from the gravel at Buffalo Springs.
