Lions powerlifters capture third straight team championship at Lake View

SAN ANGELO – The Brownwood Lions powerlifting team captured their third team championship in their third outing of the season, following up on titles at Ballinger and Brady, by winning the San Angelo Lake View Invitational Thursday.

The Lions generated 54 points, nine more than runner-up and meet host Lake View (45).

Individual results for the Lions are as follows:

  • Aidan Packheiser, 1st in the Super Heavyweights with 1,400 pounds lifted – 600 squat, 365 bench, 435 deadlift
  • Logan Flores, 1st in the 308s with 1,290 pounds lifted – 560 squat, 305 bench, 425 deadlift
  • Robert Trowbridge, 1st in the 275s with 1,400 pounds lifted – 550 squat, 275 bench, 575 deadlift
  • Cole Miller, 1st in the 242s with 1,560 pounds lifted – 635 squat, 325 bench, 600 deadlift
  • Davis Le, 1st in the 220s with 1,495 pounds lifted – 675 squat, 335 bench, 485 deadlift
  • Yovani Figueroa, 2nd in the 220s with 1,255 pounds lifted – 540 squat, 290 bench, 425 deadlift
  • Jason Zheng, 2nd in the 181s with 1,360 pounds lifted – 490 squat, 405 bench, 465 deadlift
  • Zakk Zabecki, 3rd in the 165s with 1,005 pounds lifted – 385 squat, 205 bench, 415 deadlift
  • Jeremy Ansons, 3rd in the 148s with 1,010 pounds lifted – 400 squat, 255 bench, 355 deadlift
  • Preston Cook, 3rd in the 132s with 915 pounds lifted – 345 squat, 215 bench, 355 deadlift

The Brownwood Lady Lions also competed at the meet and came in fifth place.

Competing for the girls were:

  • London Delgado, 2nd in the 132s with 675 pounds lifted – 285 squat, 135 bench and 255 deadlift
  • Aliyah Berndt, 3rd in the 242s with 710 pounds lifted – 285 squat, 150 bench, 275 deadlift
  • Layla Weedon, 3rd in the 132s with 655 pounds lifted – 240 squat, 160 bench, 255 deadlift
  • Allisson Reyna, 4th in the 181s with 650 pounds lifted – 245 squat, 125 bench, 280 deadlift
  • Atlanta Olguin, 5th in the 165s with 535 pounds lifted – 200 squat, 135 bench, 200 deadlift
  • Ashley Robinson, 7th in the 114s with 480 pounds lifted – 195 squat, 100 bench, 185 deadlift
  • Addison Welch, 8th in the 148s with 545 pounds lifted – 220 squat, 115, 210 deadlift
  • Amiyah Avalos, 9th in the 148s with 515 pounds lifted – 215 squat, 125 bench, 175 deadlift
  • Kaytlyn Smith, 10th in the 148s with 510 pounds lifted – 195 squat, 105 bench, 210 deadlift
