A Celebration of the Life of Lisa G. Allen, age 58, of Bangs, will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 Friday afternoon, February 16, 2024, at Heartland Funeral Home.

Lisa passed from this life on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in Abilene.

Lisa Gay Buchanan was born on February 24, 1965, in Laurel, Mississippi to Harlan Wayne and Judy Karen (Bush) Buchanan. She married Randy Allen on October 23, 1993, in Fort Davis. Lisa graduated from Ranger College, Phi Theta Kappa, as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked at Central Texas Women’s Clinic for 15 years and nearly ten more years at the Ron Jackson State Juvenile Correctional Complex before her retirement in 2021.

Lisa loved spending time with her grandkids and watching their sporting events. She also enjoyed riding her four-wheeler around the place, gardening, sitting on the back porch watching the hummingbirds, going to the farm fishing, and listening to family play guitars and sing.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 30 years, Randy Allen of Brownwood, her children, Karen Douglas and Jess Caswell, Michael and Jeri Allen, and Victoria and Chance Hill; four grandchildren, Rylee Coulter, Xylla Lambert, Ryker Lambert, and Rustin Allen; her siblings, Steve Buchanan, Mike Calvert, Kimberly Buchanan, Newbill and Crystal Buchanan Havard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Bobby Allen, and numerous other extended family members.

Condolences, memories, and tributes can be offered to the Allen family online at heartlandfuneralhome.com
