Ron Carlisle

Ron Carlisle, age 72 of Brownwood passed away on Sunday January 28, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

Ronald was born on January 13, 1952, in Grand Prairie, Texas to Louis and Annie Carlisle. He was a long-time resident of Brown County where he owned and operated Carlisle Texaco. Ron also served as a Constable for Brown County for several years. He drove a semi-truck for FFE for many years before his retirement.

He was affectionately known as the praying Santa Claus for 17 years. Ron loved salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and was a professional drag racer for the Texas group. He was a member of Broadway Baptist in Muskegon, Michigan, and Faith Baptist Church in Brownwood.

Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Lynn Carlisle of Brownwood, step-son, Tommy Lemieux and his wife Karen of Kissimmee, Florida, 2 daughters, Shawna Hillis and husband Jimmy of La Vergne, Tennessee and Gloria Petraco and husband Michael of Fort Worth, grandchildren, Brandon, Hope, Isaiah, Emmarie, Olivia, Brandon, Dustin, Aurora, Rain, Winter, Storm, and Autumn, brothers, Woody Carlisle and Roger Carlisle both of Brownwood, sisters-in-laws, Karen Richards and Sandra Carr and husband Dale, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his beloved dogs Buddy and Josiah.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Annie Jean Carlisle and son Justin Carlisle.

Services for Ron will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church of Brownwood with Pastor Hunter Shearin officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 5-7 pm at Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Faith Baptist Church of Brownwood or the Corinne T Smith Animal Shelter.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood. Condolences can be made at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com
