On Wednesday, the American Southwest Conference announced the 2024 Women’s Tennis Preseason Watch List and two Lady Jackets were selected. Sophomore Victoria Ramos and senior Lexie Nave rounded out the list for HPU.
 
Sophomore Victoria Ramos: The ASC East Division Freshman of the Year, Ramos finished 7-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play for singles last season. Victoria went 6-2 in the number two spot and 1-2 in the number one spot. She partnered with Lexie Nave in number one doubles for the Lady Jackets. Ramos was named ASC Player of the Week two times last season. She also received Academic All-Conference.
 
Senior Lexie Nave: Appearing in the number one and two spots, Nave finished 4-8 overall and 2-3 in conference singles last season. She partnered with Victoria Ramos in the number one spot for doubles, finishing with an overall record of 3-10. Nave also received Academic All-Conference.
 
The Lady Jackets opened up the second half of the 2023-24 season in a double header loss versus division 1 Texas A&M Corpus Christi this past Tuesday. HPU will continue spring action this weekend as they take Texas Wesleyan on Friday and will be at home in a conference matchup versus Concordia (TX) on Saturday.
