LAMPASAS – The 2023 state-qualifying Brownwood Lions golf team made its 2024 spring season debut Monday by winning the Lampasas Badger Invitational at Hancock Park.

The Lions carded a 306 team score to finish two strokes in front of runner-up Marble Falls (308) and three shots clear of third-place Wimberley (309).

Leading the charge for Brownwood in second place overall was Hudson Reagan (73) followed by Caleb Modawell (74) in fifth place, Sir Bubba Jones (76), Cobe Walker (83) and Will Stewardson (84).

Competing as a medalist for Brownwood was Peyton Sharp, who posted a round of 82.

The next action for the Lions is Feb. 14 at Llano.
