The 2023 Brownwood Lions football team was honored Monday with the annual banquet hosted by the Lions Mothers Club at the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Christian Life Center.

The Lions posted a 12-2 record in 2023 and advanced to the Class 4A Division I Region I championship game. Brownwood also repeated as district, bi-district and area champions and advanced to the fourth round of the playoffs for the first time since 2015. The 12 victories were the most for the Lions since 2010.

A total of 90 honors were bestowed upon the 38-player roster from various media outlets since the conclusion of the season.
