LAMPASAS – The Brownwood Lions kicked off District 5-4A soccer action with a 2-0 road victory over the Lampasas Badgers Friday night.

The first goal for the Lions (3-3-1, 1-0) came from Peter Salazar, then Isaac Morales tacked on the insurance goal for Brownwood.

Wyatt Jackson recorded the shutout in goal for the Lions.

The Lions will carry a two-game win streak into Tuesday’s 7 p.m. home district opener against Salado.
