BALLINGER – The Brownwood Lions powerlifting team finished first as a team at their debut meet of 2024 on Thursday, winning the Ballinger Bearcat Invitational.

Champions in their respective weight classes for the Lions were Davis Le, Cole Miller, and Logan Knight. Placing second were Xavier Zepeda-Duffie, Jason Zheng, and Aidan Packheiser. Coming in third was Julius Lara, while fourth-place efforts belonged to Preston Cook, Daylyn Ansons, and Robert Trowbridge. Elbion Thaqi and Logan Flores added fifth-place performances.

Competing for the Lady Lions was London Delgado, who came in third place in her weight class.

The next action for the Lions and Lady Lions is at the HOT Powerlifting Meet in Brady on Feb. 8.
