Onn Sam Muor, 61 of Brownwood, TX passed on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 in Abilene, TX while surrounded by loved ones. Sam’s Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 21st, 2024, at Brownwood Funeral Home located at 2512 Belle Plain. Chanting and Prayers will be led by Buddhist monks. A cremation procession will follow. We would like to invite friends to celebrate Sam’s life. 

Sam was born in Battambang, Cambodia on January 12th, 1963. He emigrated with his family to America in the late 1980s.  He originally settled in Minnesota but has lived in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Texas. He was a hardworking man who ran several businesses and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.  Sam was a very kind and gregarious person. He would always bring some kind of treat for the family from the store.  Most importantly, he was a great father to all his children. He will be dearly missed.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents Sum Hieap and Kim Muor and many brothers and sisters.

Sam is survived by his spouse Brianna and their children son Minute (Zack) and daughter Natalie. His former spouse and their children daughter Sophea, spouse and three grandchildren Jasarlyda, Jozelyn, and Virakchey, daughter Sopheak and spouse, and sister Julie (Nga).
