Laurie Ann Horton, age 61, of Coleman, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024. She was born on July 11, 1962, in Greenville, Texas, to her loving parents Kay Don Jennings and Laverne Jones Jennings. Having obtained her High School Diploma, Laurie embarked on a successful career as a secretary, possessing an exceptional eye for detail and efficiency. Her organizational skills led her to become an office manager.

Laurie is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Harlan Jones and Homer Horton; and her sister, Cynthia Jennings.

Laurie will leave behind her children, Jimmy Ishmael and Jeanie Stevenson, husband, Slade Stevenson. Her grandchildren, Britney, Roady, Izzy, Aubrey, Rilynn, Ellis and Olivia. Laurie was loved by her nieces and nephews, D-Ray, Krisit, Jeremy and Jennifer. Laurie’s brothers, Danny Jennings and wife Gina and Jerry Jennings, find solace in the memories they shared growing up and the everlasting bond they forged as siblings.

At Laurie’s request, no services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the family by signing the guestbook on Laurie’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Horton family.
