Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Dec. 7

  • On Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 9:48 a.m., Deputy Michel Wilson conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet pickup with Texas License Plate number for a broken taillight. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for Hindering Apprehension of a Fugitive and Possession of Marijuana. The passenger of the car was arrested on a Parole Violation, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 >1g, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • On Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at approximately 10:37 a.m., Deputy Francisco Valencia was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center to speak with a walk-in, regarding Fraud. The complainant stated someone has been using her credit card information to make unauthorized purchases. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Tuesday, Dec. 5, Sgt. Chris Angel was dispatched to Oak Hill Circle, in reference to a welfare check.  After further investigation, it was determined that an assault had occurred on Dec. 2. On this date, a female had assaulted her husband by striking him in the face with her forearm. This caused the husband minor pains. The husband did not wish to file charges on his wife for the assault. The report will be forwarded for review and possible prosecution.
