Lake Brownwood State Park posted the following information on Facebook:
Celebrate the holiday season with us at the lake by enjoying a drive-through holiday lights display! Campers will have their campsites decorated for you to drive through and view! Make sure to stop by the Group Dining Hall to enjoy a fire with a ranger and paint your own ornament to take home!
Entrance for this event is free – instead, we will be collecting items to help the Brown County Humane Society with their four-legged friends! Needed donation items include:
Kitten food (wet and dry)
Puppy food (wet)
Cat food (wet and dry)
Cat litter
Trash bags (heavy duty 55-60 gallon)
Puppy pads
Laundry soap
Dawn dish soap
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Cat and dog toys
We have free campsites for campers who wish to decorate their campsite and pass out candy for this event. To sign up for a campsite, call the office at 325-784-5223 or send an email to [email protected]. Campsites are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Willow Point camping loop.
