The Brown County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release Wednesday afternoon:

On Sunday, November 26, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the Hendrick Medical Center for an assault victim. Deputies learned that a 46-year-old male had a stab wound from an altercation with a 32-year-old male. The altercation occurred in the 6900 block of St. Patrick Drive at Lake Brownwood. The victim received serious injuries but was in stable condition at Hendrick Medical Center. The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
