Carolyn Lee (Terry) Dobbins, 55, of Lake Brownwood, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023. A private family graveside will be held.

Carolyn was born September 7, 1968 in Littlefield, Texas to Carl William and Alice (Reel) Terry. She went to high school at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas and married Ovie Dobbins on October 16, 1988 and they began a life together that blessed them with 3 children. Carolyn worked as a manager in the restaurant business and made friends in her community through her great service. She was very active in her kids sporting activities and was always there for them no matter what they got into. She absolutely loved her grandkids and gave Jacob his nickname, “Jake Pa”. She was always ready for a game of Bingo and was an avid coupon and bargain shopper, she made a sport of it and Black Friday was her super bowl. Carolyn always looked forward to traveling and setting up camp somewhere with her family every vacation. She was a devoted and loving wife to Ovie for over 37 years and took pride in being a mother and grandmother.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Ovie Dobbins of Lake Brownwood; daughters, Alisha Gamez of Tye, Texas and Cyrilette Dobbins of Arkansas; son Justin Dobbins of Lovelady, Texas; Jacob Dobbins of Tye, Texas; 10 grandchildren and many friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Alice & Carl Terry; grandson, Drake Everett Dobbins; brothers, John, Jesse and Junior Terry; and other family and siblings.

Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net
