Pete Valdez

Pete Valdez, age 69, of Early, passed away on November 19, 2023, in Abilene.

Funeral services for Pete will be held at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel of Brownwood on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.

Pete was born on October 4, 1954, to Jesus and Lucia Valdez. He loved to be outdoors and loved to keep a clean kept lawn. On his down time, he enjoyed western and scary movies. Pete’s favorite hobby was building model classic cars and he was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all he loved to be gathered with family over a good home cooked meal.

Pete is survived by 3 daughters; Olivia Valdez of Haltom City, Amanda Faulisi of Haltom City, and Priscilla Valdez of Early; son, Joseph Valdez of San Angelo; 4 grandchildren, Ariel Ballard, Mariah Gonzales, Brandon Valdez, and Dakota Valdez; 2 great grandchildren R’ylnn Gonzales, Jacob Zuniga, and one on the way; 2 sisters, Katherin Valdez and Juanita Valdez both of Early; brothers, Rafael Valdez and David Valdez both of Early; Pete is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
