Larry Robison

Larry Robison, age 74, of Rising Star passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel of Brownwood on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Larry D Robison was born in Atoka, Oklahoma to Pauline and William Robison on December 8, 1948. Larry served in the United States Army from October 7, 1968, to April 27, 1970. He served in the 11th Infantry, Charlie Company during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service medal for Markmanship, the Combat Infantry badge, a Bronze Star medal, sharpshooter qualified, Vietnam Service medal with two Bronze Service stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal.

After leaving the military, he followed his family back to California and married his first wife, Sue, in 1971 and had four children. He later married Virginia on December 11, 1982. He gained a bonus child during that union and went on to have two more children. He later gained his last bonus child in 2002.

He was literally a jack of all trades. He finally settled and went to school to be a locksmith. Larry made many friends and a good life for his family. He finally retired in 2018 to enjoy life. He brought his ranch in Texas that he always wanted in 2021 and went back to work, making it his. He was involved in numerous organizations to help veterans and children.

Larry is survived by his wife, Virginia, his children, Veronica, Richie, Larry Jr., Tammy, David, Joshua, and Joey. His grandchildren, Lexi, Dillon, Melissa, Chelsea, Brittany, Alysa, Kaylee, Richie, Joshua, Jestina, Alex, Miranda, Levi, Patrick, Danny, and Mack.

Larry is preceded by his son Sean, his brothers, John, Tommy, and Clarence. His sisters, Eileen, and Blue.
