Regina Browning (Ply) Parker

Regina Browning (Ply) Parker, age 98, of Brownwood, passed away November 15, 2023. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Heartland Funeral Home and graveside services will be held on Friday, November 17, at 1 PM, at Greenleaf Cemetery with Dallas Huston officiating.

Regina was born to Ressie and Ruth Browning on December 7, 1924, in Cross Plains. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1942, attended Howard Payne University, graduated NAU in 1964 and then went on to get her Masters of Education at ASU, graduating in 1975. Regina taught at schools in Cross Plains, New Mexico and Brownwood. She married the love of her life, Jack C. Parker in 1979 in Brownwood and they began a beautiful life together. Jack and Regina merged two families blessing them with 7 children that blessed their days with many memories and grandchildren abundantly. Regina enjoyed crossword puzzles, growing plants, painting, bingo, bird watching and time spent with family. She had been a member of Central Methodist Church.

Regina is survived by her daughters, Janey Taylor and her husband Eddy, Gayle Plummer, Susan Parris and Diane Goodgion and her husband Mike; son, Kenneth Parker; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Wayne Browning; and many cousins, church family and many friends.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; a brother, Cliff Browning and his wife, Gina; a grandson, Todd Plummer; 2 sons, Steven & Raymond Parker; and a niece, Kay Browning.

The family would like to extend grateful appreciation to the staff of Chatfield Assisted Living, Dr. Peplinski, Dr. Blanc, Dr. Roberts and Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood.
