The Cross Plains High School Band placed third overall at the UIL Class A State Marching Competition held at the Alamodome in San Antonio Tuesday.

The first band to perform Tuesday, Cross Plains was one of eight bands to make the finals which meant they had to wait until after 9 p.m. last night to perform again, and later was awarded the bronze trophy.
