14u Bombers Sheffield collect another fall tournament championship

14u Bombers Sheffield finished with a 1st place finish this weekend out of 8 teams. They faced their best competition of the season this weekend. They found ways to make things happen and win. In the semi and championship they played two really solid teams.  Defense, pitching and hitting were all exciting this weekend.
Amarrea Thomas and Corinne Sheffield we’re tournament MVPs. Amarrea hit .866 this weekend and caught every inning behind the plate. She stepped up and played huge all weekend! Corinne Sheffield hit .600 on the weekend and came up with key hits. She also pitched 21 innings and had 23 strikeouts. Jensen Harrower was championship game mvp, as she dropped in key hits all over the place. She also played a solid center field. Jensen hit .400 on the weekend.
 Maty Quick was a force too, as she hit .667. Her bat was strong and she came so close to blasting several out.  Adalynne Stephens hit .450 this weekend and did great adapting to a new position this weekend! Brylee Chandler came up with clutch hits and catches that were key to the success this weekend as well. Macy Mask hit .333 and in 7 at bats made contact when it was needed most. Paisley Herring hit .375 on the weekend and was speed on the bases at key times. Piddle played 1st well all weekend and did whatever was needed of her on the field or bases. Aleena Ramirez the Bombers 12u short stop played with the  14u this weekend and didn’t hesitate making great plays against much bigger girls all weekend.
14u Bombers has competed in 4 tournaments this fall and they have two tournaments left on the fall schedule. . Thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make this season possible. Tryouts for spring and summer will be Dec 6th at 6:30pm for 14u.
