Linda Boscamp, age 79, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday November 1, 2023, in Abilene. A come and go celebration of her life will be held Tuesday November 7, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Linda was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on January 8, 1944. She grew up in Santa Anna, Texas and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1962. She went on to attend Tarleton State University. The first part of her career was spent working for various departments at Texas State University. After moving to Brownwood in 1988, she worked as Executive Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Brownwood. After retiring in January 2006, she enjoyed her home at Lake Brownwood.

Linda loved to entertain family and friends. She enjoyed baking and serving traditional recipes handed down by her grandmother. Linda was an avid shopper (especially QVC) and loved going to the casino too!

Linda is survived by her husband of 31 years, Darwin Boscamp; her daughter, Denise Grant and husband Victor; grandchild Owen Grant and fiancée Payton Thomas; stepson Derek Boscamp and his wife Amy; grandchildren, Collin, Tate, and Chloe Boscamp; Zach Peterson and wife Courtney; great-grandchild Kinley; Lauren Payne and husband Chandler; stepson Kevin Boscamp and wife Shea; grandchildren, Bradford and London Boscamp; Kennedy Andrews and husband Thomas; stepson Lance Boscamp; grandchildren Landry and Cade Boscamp. Linda’s mother Edith “Tincy” Turney; brother Gary Sudderth and wife Nancy; sister Becki Turney; brother Mark Turney and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family gives special thanks to her caregiver Raymie Tawater for caring for Linda and spending many days taking her for visits with her mom and family in Santa Anna.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in memory of Linda Boscamp to be made to Howard Payne University Thanksgiving Feast Fund. Please mail donations to:
