Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon®, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage The Hideout Golf Club & Resort in Brownwood, Texas. Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee division of Troon will manage the golf operations, agronomy, retail, and sales and marketing.

Located on the shores of Lake Brownwood, The Hideout Golf Club & Resort is one of Central Texas’ top destinations for championship golf and lakefront resort getaways. Set in the Texas Hill Country among giant oaks and meandering creeks, the Club’s 18-hole, par-72 golf course opened for play in 2008 and was designed by Bill Johnston. In recent GolfPass Golfers’ Choice awards, The Hideout has been ranked among the ‘Top Golf Courses in Texas’ (No. 6 in 2020) and ‘Top 25 Friendliest Golf Courses in the U.S.’ (No. 19 in 2020).

“We pride ourselves on the quality of our golf course and the southern hospitality of our team,” said Hideout General Manager Matthew Weeks. “By partnering with Troon we aim to enhance the experience both on and off the course for our current guests, and extend our reach to new ones.”

The Hideout features a variety of well-appointed accommodations to suit any size family or group, from Lodge Rooms and Family Cabins to Ranch Houses with full kitchens, covered decks and large living rooms. Dining options include The Hideout Grill and newly renovated Copper Bar for Texas-style cuisine from Executive Chef Michael Wilson, as well as Haven Coffee for morning coffee and breakfasts.

“As Troon continues to expand across the Lonestar state, The Hideout is a natural fit for our family of brands. By partnering with Troon, it is evident that the resort ownership at The Hideout is fully committed to making the guest experience the absolute best it can be,” said Troon Vice President of Operations Jeff Thomasson. “With an impressive amenity package situated on the shores of Lake Brownwood, Troon will work diligently with local management to optimize every facet of the resort. We are both humbled and honored to be part of The Hideout Resort Golf Club and Resort.”

The Hideout Golf Club & Resort is located within an easy drive of Midland, Odessa, Abilene and Lubbock, and about two-and-a-half hours from both Austin and Dallas. For more information on The Hideout Golf Club & Resort, visit www.thehideouttexas.com.
