BROCK – The Early Lady Horns were eliminated from volleyball postseason contention by the District 8-3A second-place Brock Lady Eagles, 25-8, 25-15, 25-15 Saturday afternoon

With the loss to Brock (23-12, 11-2), Early (12-15, 5-8) is now at least two games back of fourth-place Breckenridge (13-13, 7-5 prior to Saturday), with one only game remaining at third-place Millsap (18-19, 8–4 prior to Saturday) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In Saturday’s contest, Early received three kills each from Dakota Barksdale, Matty Boswell and Jensyn Rasor; two from Gabby Leal; and one apiece from Gabby Benson, Hadalee Saunders and Karley Smith.

Grey Pruett dished out 14 assists and the Lady Horns did not serve an ace.

Defensively, Jenna Hataway led the charge with seven digs followed by four from Boswell and two from Benson.

Barksdale recorded a pair of blocks at the net for Early.
