Lady Dragons lock up No. 3 playoff seed with win over Ranger in district finale

Kasey Solis (4) and the Lady Dragons will face the District 5-2A runner-up – either Miles, Junction or Sonora – in the bi-district round of the playoffs at a time, date and location either Monday, Oct. 30 or Tuesday, Oct. 31.

BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons locked up the No. 3 playoff seed from District 6-2A with a 25-10, 25-8, 25-5 triumph over Ranger Saturday morning in the regular season finale.

Bangs (15-13, 4-4) served 22 aces led by seven from Raylee Hutchins, five from Joey Newton, three from Neeley Bradley, two each from Cloey Petty, Ava Boren and Jadyn Miller, and one from Kylee Byler.

Miller logged eight kills trailed by four from both Hutchins and Emily Baker, three each from Bradley and Kasey Solis, two from Boren, and one apiece from Claire Auldridge and Dyan McCurdy.

Bradley finished with 13 assists followed by five from Newton, four from Boren and one from Justice Baker.

Defensively, Newton registered 13 digs trailed by seven from Hutchins, six from Bradley, McCurdy and Miller, five from Boren, four from Solis, three from Justice Baker, and two from Petty.

Neeley and Emily Baker recorded blocks.

The Lady Dragons will face the District 5-2A runner-up – either Miles, Junction or Sonora – in the bi-district round of the playoffs at a time, date and location either Monday, Oct. 30 or Tuesday, Oct. 31.
