Brownwood ISD (BISD) elementary students were recently treated with special visits from Brownwood firefighters who spoke to students about fire safety and showed the students various pieces of fire equipment.

The visits were the culmination of a fire safety unit students had participated in during the last few weeks in PE class. Along with close up tours of the fire truck, elementary students also had the opportunity to learn from a demonstration of a smoke-filled room and how to utilize techniques to escape safely down the stairs.

BISD is grateful for each of the Brownwood Fire Department’s visits and demonstrations which help students learn about fire safety!
