A bit of Brownwood history was revealed this week.  Heart of Texas Flooring Company, located at 400 South Broadway in the downtown area, is remodeling the exterior of their building.  When some old tin was removed, a painted sign for the “Witcher Produce Co.” was revealed.

The sign says “Witcher Produce Co., Cash Buyers of Poultry and Eggs.  Something to Crow About.  Bright and Early.”

Heart of Texas Flooring owner Johnny Story said he does not know much about Witcher Produce, but thinks it was a business in the 1930’s.
