BMDD Board of Directors to meet Oct. 17

Brownwood Municipal Development District Board of Directors Regular Meeting
1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2023

Council Chambers, City Hall

501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas

The proceedings of the meeting will be as follows:
Item 1. Call the meeting to order.
Item 2. Election of Board Officers – President, Vice President, and Secretary – for the
2023/2024 Fiscal Year.
Item 3. Items to be withdrawn.
Item 4. Introductions, Announcements, and Recognitions.
A. Presentation to outgoing board member Marisha Stidom.
Item 5. The Board will consider approval of the minutes:
A. BMDD regular board meeting – August 15, 2023.
Item 6. Presentation of the 2021/2022 BMDD audit by Tony Krischke, CPA.
Item 7. The Board will review the following reports:
A. Checklist – September
B. Income Statement – September
C. Event Center Expense Report
D. Loan and Incentive Summary – September
E. Sales Tax – Paid in October
F. Unemployment numbers
G. Project Updates and Activity
Item 8. The BMDD Board may convene into a closed executive session in the Haynes Conference Room, pursuant to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Government Code Vernon’s Annotated, in accordance with the authority contained in the following section:
Section 551.071 – Consultation with Attorney
Section 551.087 – Deliberations regarding economic development negotiations

A. Discussion of a possible incentive for a commercial business project.
B. Discussion of a possible incentive for a commercial business project.
Item 9. The Board will reconvene into Regular Session in the City Council Chambers to take any action deemed necessary as result of the Executive Session.
Item 10. The Board may adjourn for a tour of the Brownwood Event Center Complex.
