Statistics for September real estate sales in Brown County were released this week by the Heartland Association of Realtors.  The total number of closed sales was down compared to September 2022, but the median sales price and the median price per square foot were both higher than one year ago.  Highlights below.

Closed Sales:  40 (down 9.1% vs. September 2022)

Median Sales Price:  $198,000 (up 22.6%)

Median Price per Square Foot:  $123.65 (up 10.0%)

Median Home Size:  1,745 square feet

Median Year Built:  1996

Closing Price/Original List Price:  92.3%

Active Listings:  170 (up 36.0%)

Months of Inventory: 4.7 (up 1.6 months)

Days on Market: 63 (up 3 days)

Days to Close:  33 (up 2 days)

Total Days:  96 (up 5 days)

Sales Price Distribution

less than $100,000:  10.3%

$100,000 – 199,999:  41.0%

$200,000 – 299,999:  23.1%

$300,000 – 399,999:  10.3%

$400,000 – 499,999:  2.6%

greater than $500,000:  12.9%
