The American Southwest Conference on Monday announced its weekly football awards and Howard Payne University safety KJ Kelley was recognized as the ASC Defensive Player of the Week.

Howard Payne safety KJ Kelley anchored the Jacket defense that held the Tigers to just 54 yards rushing and forced three turnovers. Kelley finished with a game-high nine tackles, two interceptions, and one pass breakup.
