The National Night Out Tuna Challenge, held by Good Samaritan Ministries, announced its winner Thursday as the party held at the Bennie Houston Community Center collected a record 1,050 cans on tuna.

The total amount of tuna cans collected during National Night Out, to be donated to the Good Samaritan Ministries Food Pantry, was 5,629.

The Traveling Tuna trophy goes home to the Bennie Houston Community Center for a year.
