Robert Brookbank

Robert Brookbank, 36, of Brownwood, passed away on September 26, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

A memorial service for Robert will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, prior to the memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Robert was born to Robert Keith Brookbank and Gloria Kay Preston on April 8, 1987, in Georgetown, Ohio. He was passionate about cars and loved working on them. Robert was known to be a jokester and enjoyed playing pranks on his family and friends. Robert was a member of Grosvenor Baptist Church, and of all things, he treasured his family the most.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kimberly Brookbank of Brownwood; son, Christian Strickland of Brownwood; two daughters, Amanda Baker and Daestanei Strickland, both of Brownwood; sister, Lora Brookbank of Kentucky; brother, Wesley Brookbank of Ohio; stepfather, Duke Hale of Ohio; grandmother, Clarcy Preston of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert Lee Stone Brookbank.
