Brown County Sheriff’s Report: Sept. 29

  • On Sunday, September 25, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to County Road 237 in regard to, loose cattle. Deputy Geis arrived on scene, and observed a section of the fence was driven through by a motor vehicle. Information was gathered and a report was made.
  • On Monday, September 26, at about 3:32 p.m., Deputy Chris Williamson, was dispatched to an animal cruelty call located at FM 3100, Brownwood TX. The horse had access to water, feed, and shelter. Information and photographs were collected, and a report was made.
  • On Tuesday, September 27, at approximately 3:29 p.m., Deputy Ira Smith was dispatched to the 6000 block of Highway 67 for a report of stolen tools, and a Criminal Trespass Warning. Deputy Smith arrived at the location and took a report for Criminal Trespass.
  • On Wednesday, September 28, at 2 p.m., Deputy Ricky Herring was dispatched via telephone in reference to contacting complainant in reference to person(s) unknown, obtaining her identifying information. Contact was made and a Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information, State Jail Felony, report was made.
  • On Wednesday, September 28, 2023, at 4:56 p.m. Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to CR 608 for a report of theft, involving a trailer. A person reported his car hauler trailer was stolen from his residence. Information was gathered and a report was made for further investigation.
