Michael Eugene Crumling, age 58 of Brownwood, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held on a later date at Etzweiler Funeral Home in York, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends at Blaylock Funeral Home in Brownwood from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Local arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Michael was born on September 16, 1965, to Joseph Eugene Crumling and Alice Beth (Eakin) Crumling, in Bethesda, Maryland. He spent most of his upbringing in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.

Michael was a brands manager for Performance Food Group for many years.

He had many interests ranging from historical currencies and artwork to music and intellectual discussions. His true passion was to serve others and his years in the service and hospitality industry were a perfect match. He had a smile that could light up a room and an ability to make friends with anyone he encountered.

Those left to cherish Michael’s memory include his mother, Beth Ellis of Brownwood; sister, Dawn Taylor of Columbia, Maryland; a niece, Kiara Taylor of Mansfield; a nephew, Brendan Taylor of Dallas; and numerous other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind “brothers from another mother” Andrew and Nicholas Hatcher of Brownwood.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Crumling, his maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, Michael’s wish was for people to help others in their time of need.

Condolences for the family can be made online at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
